Iceland Expedition Self Drive Expedition 2018 with Nomadic Road
This was barely 2 months from the India Myanmar Thailand expedition. After celebrating Christmas and New year, it was time again to start preparations for the Iceland expedition. Important thing would be the Schengen visa and getting equipped for the adventure in snow. My 2 friends who were supposed to join me on the expedition had to pull out at the last minute and I was left all alone in my vehicle. Days passed by quickly in anticipations and preparations and the departure date of 10th Feb came sooner than expected. My flight to Reykjavik was booked via Oslo and in total it was a nine hour flight + 2…

India – Myanmar – Thailand Self Drive Expedition 2017 with Mahindra Adventure
To begin with, let me tell you that the India Myanmar Thailand expedition, leg 1 was sold out in the first 90 minutes. I was among the first to register for the drive. Among the 12 participant cars, 6 were booked by us from Dubai and got known as the Dubai gang. As days and months passed, we started getting the pinch, as it was a humongous effort getting border crossing permissions from 3 countries and the huge logistics to follow by the organisers. The only consolation was the words from Amit “Dont worry, its happening and we all are going together”. Finally we participants from Dubai had to stamp…

The Monastery Escape 2017 with Mahindra Adventure
4 Months after booking the Monastery escape adventure, finally the day arrived. This time round its not my friend who is partnering me, its my brother Julian Dsouza. Reached Delhi after a boring flight from Dubai and the drive from the airport to the hotel was more boring with the cab driver swerving from from left to right negotiating the crazy Delhi traffic. The Hotel, Oberoi Maidens, a heritage hotel built in 1905 with its British Architecture and spacious rooms was a good start to the trip. The evening started with the usual registrations, medical tests and handing out of the goodies. The ritual of picking up lots for the…

Authentic Bhutan Road Trip with Mahindra Adventure
Heard from a friend about his experience with Mahindra Adventure’s Monastery escape road trip and wanted to try it. By the time, could decide and find a perfect partner, the trip was sold out. Going through their website, saw that they were doing the Bhutan expedition for the first time. A 10 minute research on Google and i was convinced that we should do this road trip to which my partner Shekar readily agreed and alas, the booking was done instantly online. I am glad i did this trip and that too with a set of people who seemed quite in sync with us. Eventually all experiences are about two…
