We were lucky enough to have completed the Winter Kelsuu expedition in Kyrgyzstan with WBB before the world was ravaged by the coronavirus. The Lockdowns, work restrictions, and travel bans were taking their own toll with all expeditions thrown out of the window for the year. A year had just gone by without any travels. Passing through a dark tunnel, suddenly saw a ray of light when Nidhi called in one evening to tell me about an expedition in Northern Kashmir called “Across Shamshabari”.
